Just a quick message. Your profile may say "male" right now. You can change that to female or make it unspecified. The software oddly puts it on male for default. Go to the upper right corner and click your name and then click User Control Panel. On that screen, click the profile tab and it should be the first option to change. You should see male, female, and none specified. Thanks!

How would you feel about advertisements here on this site? Well ok, that's a stupid question I know, since yeah they can annoy me too. I have to pay the hosting bills however, and options to make the money back are somewhat limited.

Assuming that I would have to do this, is there anything that you would consider intolerable? Any type of ad you absolutely would not want to see?

I really hate adds......but if theres no other option then go for it. I would rather suffer trough some minor incoveniences than never be able to come back here :P

As long as the ads aren't too intrusive, I say go for it.

I agree with this. I'm willing to put up with some ads in order to keep the forum running.

That's brilliant, PBA! :D
I think a few ads won't harm anybody.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot, maybe something like banners, where everyone could make a few clicks everyday are better than really aggressive popups, but I think nobody's going to leave if this isn't possible.

Haha, yeah I could always pull a wikipedia. Honestly I'd prefer a donations button over advertising. The problem is that paypal don't allow donations to sites with adult content (or however they phrased it). Although technically there's nothing pornographic on here, they might still shut down the account. There are paypal alternatives too, but they tend to be less known, and therefore less trusted. Ah, it's tricky.

As long as they aren't pornographic or the kinds which flash I think I could live with them.

As long as there's no sound effect in the ads (God I hate those), it's completely fine.
