Just a quick message. Your profile may say "male" right now. You can change that to female or make it unspecified. The software oddly puts it on male for default. Go to the upper right corner and click your name and then click User Control Panel. On that screen, click the profile tab and it should be the first option to change. You should see male, female, and none specified. Thanks!

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to music, but I'll do the other two.

Note: these are by no means definite lists, but... oh well!

TV
1. Neon Genesis Evangelion
2. Curb Your Enthusiasm
3. Frasier
4. FLCL (not exactly long-running at only 6 20-min episodes, but it's one of my most cherished DVD sets)
5. Twin Peaks (though I'm yet to finish it, I'm in love with what I've seen)

Film
1. The End of Evangelion (on a very personal level, this affected me in a way no other work of art has never quite done, so it's really my very favourite)
2. Mulholland Drive
3. 2001: A Space Odyssey
4. Late Spring
5. Fanny and Alexander

I know, isn't it great? :) The episode where Ray says, "We seem to have hit a skunk that crawled out of the ass of another skunk" kills me every time I watch it.

I think my very favourite moment might be in the episode where Debra discovers her parents are getting a divorce. And when she tells Ray about it he needs to keep putting his fist in front of his mouth so that she can't see he's laughing... and he doesn't even know why it makes him laugh, but it just does, and her grave seriousness only makes it worse, so whenever he looks back at her face he just cracks up again... :D I've been in that situation one too many times, and they just nailed it.

Oh- and Marie FTW.

OMG! I can't tell you how many times I've been in that situation. It always something extremely sensitive and I just get these giggles. I feel so bad too because I'm not laughing at the situation. I sometimes think to myself, "What is the worst possible thing to do in this situation?" and that mental image just cracks me up. Ugh. It sucks when that happens.
