If only we could use it on twitch, we would never run out of content if that were possibletheincadinca wrote: ↑23 May 2018, 05:10Thanks, Crakos.
Here's a mukbang compliation I made using the "open transcripts" trick using the keyword "excuse me" in about 1 hour. https://streamable.com/o2mca
Some people ask me "Do you use any software to make compilations?"
Previously, I had written an automated software that would read a text file with timestamps like :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-uDQ28AZuE, 11:30, 32:25, 1:38:14
I would assume that each burp lasts for 5 seconds.
This software would then download the videos using command-line youtube-downloader, use command-line ffmpeg to cut the clips and stitch them all together. I used that software to make this compilation of annchirisu : https://streamable.com/z5sa1
But it works only for Youtube videos (not for twitch or periscope or some other platform unless the command-line downloader softwares for them are released), and it can give rise to bugs sometimes.
So now I have a more "hands on" method of making compilations which is better. It is super-fast and easy way to make compilations which doesn't involve downloading any videos. I use a software called SimpleScreenRecorder (free, Linux) or QuickTime (free, Mac). These softwares can both screen-record audio and video of a particular window or rectangle on your screen.
The idea is to note down all the timestamps of a Youtube or twitch video. Then you focus the SimpleScreenRecorder rectangle on the Youtube window. Suppose the burp occurs at 11:30, then you just start playing at 11:25 and hit the record button on your software. Once the burp is done, you just pause the recording. Then move to the next burp at 32:25 and start playing at 32:20 and hit the record button. And so on and so forth. This way, you don't need to download any of the clips and it's especially fast for Twitch compilations.
The other cool thing with the "open transcripts" trick is that if you click on the transcript, it automatically takes you to the exact location of the time someone says "excuse me" or something. So just click on it, hit record and pause after you're done.
Sorry for the long post, but I hope this helps everyone on the forum spot burps and make quick compilations.
Just a quick message. Your profile may say "male" right now. You can change that to female or make it unspecified. The software oddly puts it on male for default. Go to the upper right corner and click your name and then click User Control Panel. On that screen, click the profile tab and it should be the first option to change. You should see male, female, and none specified. Thanks!
Any videos or threads that don't fit into the other forums.
Where'd she say that?
I've been searching through youtube subtitles lately. I hadn't thought of using 'excuse me' and other such phrases. I'll have to try that.
There are ways to look at twitch subtitles if you don't mind manually searching through videos.
Who's the girl around 7:00 with the long black hair and bangs? She talks about cramping and not wanting to take edibles because she'll trip out. Can I see the full video somewhere?
